I've been pulled twice for this in the past, well once when I was driving and once when I was a passenger in my car (sister was driving).

First time they told me to turn them off (and I was speeding so got told off for that too) God, I sound like a right chav!

Second time while my sis was driving they just pulled alongside us and told us. We were in Devon and it was proper foggy while we were driving down so they were on for a genuine reason but I forgot to turn them off. Devon policemen are friendlier than Oxford police!

Basically, you look like a tit with them on when it's not foggy. I haven't been fined and I don't particulary want to be either so i've learnt.
