Up for sale is my 92 Polo GT conversion, I recently bought this from 'Gee' off here who converted it to carbs. However i'm moving out from my 'rents house and i'll be 5 mins from where i work so i don't need a car anymore. The car started out as a 1litre genesis (and still is on the log book but up to if you want to change), with the shell having done 92k and the engine has done 88k (it has the GT clocks). MOT 02/10 and tax is up at the end of the month but I will put 6 months on if I get what I'm after. It Also has folder full of old MOT's and receipts from over the years.

Engine

It has 1.3 GT engine conversion which was carried out by a previous owner who was a mechanic. The guy I bought it off fitted a ported and polioshed head with 3 angle valves and upgraded valve springs, custom inlet manifold matched to the head to maxsimize airflow and velocity. CBR 600 bike carbs jetted to suit the engine. It also has a pipercross 600 air box with cold air feed (not shown in picture). To allow for the car to breath it also has a neman 272 cam and a 4-2-1 manifold and a full 2" system. the car hasn't been rolling roaded as it was too low for the rollers but with the speck it should push a minimum of 110 but more likely 120 bhp. The bay has been stripped and smoothed.

Chassis

The car is sat on original polo gt steelies which are wraped in a full set of 175/50/13 yokohama a539's. It's been lowered 60mm allround on FK shocks and springs, has a front lower strut brace and rear upper strut brace. It has also been fitted with g40 brakes up front and new rear brake cyclinders and shoes.

Bodywork

Pretty much stnadard body work other than debadged grill and dewipered boot and single wiper conversion. The only bad bits are 2 scracthes, ome on the bonnet and one on the tailgate.

Intirior

Has been stripped but then carpeted with felt. It has corrado seats and mk5 polo gear stick. It also has a 300mm vw racing steering wheel. There is a 12" Vibe BLack Air sub built into the spare wheel well which is powered by a Vibe 1400 watt amp. Also 2 Vibe 6x9's in the rear quater panels which are also amped up with a 300 watt amp. It has a dvd player headunit (ripseed) which works fine and has a great picture qualety.

As the car stands i want £1600 £1500 for it as it's had huge amounts of work done to it and is a very rare combination of spec and body shape which you will struggle to see anywhere else. It is a very fun car to drive especially on twisty back roads and is completey sleepered out. Here come the pics;

I haven't got any print outs because it's too low to get on the rollers

this was my friends car up until beginning of the year! does seem a little steep, my mate got a mint mk3 coupe gt with a 111bhp skoda engine which is bored out. on wellers and more for £1200-£1300

yours aint even on a fantastic set of wheels, standard G40. think te car was sold for £500-£600 with GT engine and apart from the engine it looks the same as it did then!
