Where to buy a windscreen - gotta pay out of my own pocket :(

Featured Replies

Any suggestions of a company in Cornwall which could replace the windscreen in my 54 Polo which I cracked earlier, trying to click the mirror back on

To cut a long story short, I will need to pay for the full replacement cost out of my own pocket (long story) and need to find someone locally to do the job as cheaply as poss. Any spending on the car now will be a loss, and I'm looking to sell it in a few days......

Any ideas?

Cool, that sounds more like it. Have stuck the Polo up for sale in the meantime with a cracked screen. It's a cheap car tho, but will email national if I get no interest in selling. Cheers for the pointers!

Breakers and then get an independent fitter to fit it (usually around 35 quid for glass removal and refitting )

look in local yellow pages and ring round for some quotes

Why can't you claim off your insurance? you not fully comp? I'd say a rock hit it

Windscreen cover doesn't always come with insurance.

Yeah, get one off a breaker then get an independant to slip it in.
