Why has no one done a wide arch motorsport mk4 yet like the bergcup style mk3s?

Seen a motorsport mk5 polo with wide arches.

slamming my polo on schmidts instead of bbs lol

if this ground breaking new look takes off the air will be filed with the sound of thousands of BBS split rim owners up and down the land slashing there wrists in unison at the realization that they no longer own the "in" wheels

i'm looking for a set of 90's style motor sport inspired 15's for my jetta, some thing like all the boy racers used to rock on their novas ect before 17's became the "IN" thing.

Not 90's enough for me them. The original TSW Evo's look better, but if it has to be TSW then its the old Imola's for me :-D

fuck any scene, i just build and mod cars to how i like them, if it happens that stuff i like is 'scene' or not its total accident from my point of view, i just sort a car to be how i want it.

even if they are are bit timeless.

all i now is they were tsw's and 15x7, the center bit had threads on it for center caps to screw on too. don't suppose you have any inclining as that what they are called?

actually think i've found them, they look pritty much like evo's but without the caps, just need to find some second hand now :D

dont pop my bubble! lol

i was only th line rocker at poloshow lol

Lol at guy, imagine that..bbs rendered valueless lol

The scene is starting to get boring now, and the mags don't help anyone in the UK by filling half the magazine with American builds with ridiculous paint jobs, or a few mates from a few 'tuning' firms.

The worst bit is the general approach, no one seems to want to build the car on a sensible budget or make it a realistic driving experience. Take chromed engines for example, utter trash!!

This also means many of the people who display their cars don't do half the work. So you get the general quote:

"Yeah well I basically took it down to the Phirm and they did everything and I paid £12000 for a leather TT dashboard which gets all sticky in hot weather, but at the end of the day I just trailer it to shows and I'm fucking amazing for it"

edit: spelling

lool haha i agree, although i did pay someone to fit my suspension

you put wheels on your car and mod it to make it look good not to be part of a scene, whats wrong with the scene is people modding there cars in a way that they think other people will like not how they like it. and then post them on forums like this waiting for the comments of how good there car is. saying this my car is in the photo gallery.

thick is was in last months PVW one of the guys wrote a little thing about this.

but if people want to put bbs splits on there car let them.

i have g60 steels on mine, does this make me scene??????? :finger::paranoid:

I put 16x9 borbet A's on my polo... which was different, then i got slaughtered for it off kiddies on here... fuck the scene

You say fuck the scene but yet your obv bothered that people slate your car on 16" because you bring it up at every opportunity!

Yeah why not?

the way i see it you do your car to how you want it to look not how someone

comments on how it should look after all isnt modifying ment to be fun :-D its got

too serious now :-(

I've built pleanty of interesting looking polos over the years, wouldnt bother posting them as i'd get shot down by the scene kids. Thing is the vw scene, especially polos is full of people in it for the street cred, rather than for the love of vws. If french cars were cool for example, they would all probably be in clios instead, all copying each others styling. There seems to be a bit more variety in older vws, but stuff like the 6n/mk3 and 4 golfs etc. almost always get the same treatment; smoothed bumpers, bling rims, big slam etc.

blandness born out of subtlety imo

there are of course some exceptions to the rule, but not many

I don't fancy slating the scene to much cause I've made some really good mates over the years from the VW scene. So the cars maybe a bit samey but they always look good and the people are friendly so can't complain to much.

I'd rather be chilling in a field full of nice VWs with my mates than in a car park doing burnouts and blasting some terrible dance CD.

Ain't that the truth!

The scene's still a novelty to me.

This is because I've never really had any interest in it,and i dont read mags like PVW.

Why would i? Because its got Volkswagens in it? I dont care about other Volkswagens, most are heavy and dull.

I didnt choose mine for its badge,i chose it because its shape and build quality for its size and weight made for the best basis for my ideal motor. It was an unlikely candidate and was almost a MK1 Fiesta, but beat the usual biscuit tins hands down after an accidental auction find.

I suppose the scene is okay,if you like that sort of thing.

Your not the only one, hitlers sick of it too

No G

No VW mojo

Simples

Jap FTW tbh

Its the people, not the cars that make me bored of the scene.

I don't particualrly think I am scene but I have always been a fan of vws (for reliability, quality, looks) and the way in which most are modded I have a different take on things to other people ie you have a fully smooth 6n I have a 6n with a few select parts smoothed, you have no rear wiper I couldn't live without mine in my opinion so it's staying, you have angel eyes I don't particularly like them on my car but on urs yea cool! I appreciate other work no matter what! There are some really cool cars on here that would never make it into pvw coz they ain't scene ie the White loon with flared arches, the mk1 in mint condition in show and shine at polo show, joshMs 6n (although modded in a very poppular way it's a polo and won't make it in without a rediculous engine,

then we go onto cheque book dubs if the person has a vision of what something looks like and can afford it doing who gives a shit just means they will never have the same satisfaction as those of us who 'build not buy' (I personally only pay for painting done to my car coz I can't!) but I don't see the point in getting jealous coz some has a cheque book dub, it's ment to be fun!

Basically you can mod on a budget or on no budget it's all about having fun and havin your car look how u want it and when u sit in the car it makes u smile and never bores u not about conformity to anything other than your own visions and imagination

The 'scene' is getting shit. I can't even be bothered with it anymore. Too many people up their arses, too many haters, alot of people think VW's are the best cars in the world and everything else is crap. After my bro bought his Impreza STI its made me and even a few mates think 'shit, we need jap next!' I never thought that before though. Some people need a reality check and a kick in their arse!
