You could just wire up your indicators to be sidelights too? Someone around here does it on all their cars...

I dunno, wouldnt that then get rid of the indicator function altogether then? :?

The theory behind puttin the sidelight bulbs in the indis aswell as leaving the indi bulbs in is that they will stay lit when sidelights are on but when i indicate there will still be a flash in there, will this work?

well yerp... but 14's were just a tad too big for my mk3 imo, my bbs 13x6.5 suit it better, but on your car with them in black, just cant beat that :-)

Ah furry muff m8, u got any pics with the new wheels on??? :-)

The BBS style wheels are Ronal LS's aren't they??? It looks really nice anyway!

  • Author

Nah they were called OZ Racing Jupiters apparently, came as an optional extra on late spec Beemer E30s, very hard to come across 8-)

And cheers for the nice comment :-)

Lovin this one dude. The 16v alloys look mint in black. Might have to get mine powdercoated!

blast from the past haha i simply gave the wheels a quick sand up and sprayed them with shakey can mate, they came up lovely :-)

car sold a few months ago now tho, wish i didnt do it now :-(

what was the reason of sale, it looked nice

  • Author

well tbh i wanted summit a bit quicker at the time, i had it on the road a few months, liked the way it drove and loved the way it looked, but down around here weve got lottttts of nice long drivin roads so i wanted somethin with a bit more poke.

couldve done a conversion but at the time didnt have much monies and i got offered one of my favourite cars for dirt cheap so it was a done deal in my mind, but what a mistake i made :-(

i will be buying a valver in a few weeks time tho ;) just like my old one but with 6n2 gti splits black with polished lip and 6n2 rear lights :-)

I thought id just post up a few pics of the car i bought after my polo, its not v-dub i know but i thought some peoples might like it, and some might not

Its a "J" reg Civic GL wich is the 1.4 SOHC Dual Carb one, standard with 90bhp

bought it in the begining of may with MOT till november, only done 44,000 miles, and not a spec of rust to be seen, anywhere. all for the good price of £500

pic when i bought it..

Photo0673-1.jpg

the weekend after i bought it i stuck it in my garage and had a play wich resulted with this..

31180_1466340499546_1264549643_3129.jpg

stripped the back end out wich resluted in the car weighing in at 900kg on the weighbridge, 4-2-1 manifold and cherrybomb backbox and a k&n replacement filter, then put the dizzy to full advance wich all adds up to me keeping up with a 160bhp vtec eg civic on a 1/4 mile stretch of road from a 20mph rolling start 8-)

then few weeks ago dug my old wheels outta the shed and trial fitted them to the civic wich ended up like this..

Photo0778.jpg

i know its not a polo but would be nice to hear some opinions :-)

Sam

90 bhp as standard? Wow that's a good base.

What have you got it lowered on?

Haha cherry bombbbbbbb! Get us a video up, I wanna hear this beast!
