as some of you might know, i blew my engine! :o was overheating, while i was doing 90, while i was running VERY thin oil....not a great combo....

so a brief preview of the engine...all i did was take head off...

as you can see, the cyl wall is like sand paper...now completely seized...

new engine sat in....got this from mk2lowdown....£40...i thought it was a wee bit cheap for a 1.3...it was completly bare though..just head and bottom end...turned it over one the crank to make sure it was not siezed...was fine, infact very easy to crank...we put tissue in the valve holes, practicly all of em was shot out with the compression =] lol

lol i never new u could unbolt all the front except the front panel...thought it was all welded on like the mk2...

i got a 5 speed box when i got my loon....so i have put this box onto the engine =] 1l 5speed for me=]

there will be more pics later tonight as i lost the battle last night..no alternator belt and was tired lol...so going back up in 20 mins or so to get done. not much more left to do though,

wiring to do,

body work,

alternator belt,

water assembly and equipment

swap gearbox oil and reverse gear sensor... as its different on the mk2 to mk3...

bolt up back box

then timming up on dizzy

soon to be done =]

yes, they weld the plastic on.

what? are u talking aout the bumper? i was talking about the panel u can clearly see....

I think he was on about the lights and the two panels that are left there
