To keep things on topic a touch, are some petrol station fuel prices different from others of the same brand depending where you are in the country??? For example a BP garage in the middle of no where as opposed to a BP garage in central London?

Got two Texaco petrol stations here one is in town other is about a mile or tow out theres about 2/3p difference.

Now that's not on! I was hoping I was wrong there! This time I believe its the oil company's fault!

Most petrol stations are owned as independent franchises, not directly by the oil company.

Hence they have some freedom in setting their own prices.

So are Subways, McDonald's and KFC's but they are all set the same.

How many different directions is this thread gonna take?

In 1993,when a flat in Milton Keynes cost 16k instead of todays 100K, i worked at a motorway service area - and a coffee cost £1.30.

They must be a tenner today..

I dont use them, you know the M&S BLT is gonna be about six quid,id rather starve.

Goes without saying that, whilst they've got you in the corridor, you aint going nowhere without paying another 10p a litre of motor spirit. So i think that's a different issue.

Or is it? Remember that the oil company only have to take 3p more and it'll cost you another 7p in tax on top. There's your 10p.

i still hate tax...

to know that my hard earned cash is being use by some skank and her 5 kids makes my blood boil...let them starve
