You have to have a front plate. It has to be infront of the wheels.

Put it on the centre grill it'll be fine!

as long as its on the front bumper the popo cant say anything. But on this note, is it illegal to put plates in your front window??

yes thats ok dude and again, square number plates as long as they conform to british standards then all is good

but I've been told its illegal by a mate????

what the hell are you on about mate lol.

The plate has to be infront of the front wheels to be legal.

Therefore it is illegal to have it in your window, because it is behind the wheels ( it also looks shit in the window )

sorry one of my room mates fucking about on comp

well if i have it right at the bottom of my window it would be infront of the wheels so technically then the advice your giving is wrong.....

and the only reason i want it in the window is cause i dont want it on the bumper

Go outside.

Put your glasses on, and look at your car.

At no point is your windscreen infront of your front wheels.

This pic shows the windscreen IS NOT infront of the front wheels at any point.

If you don't want it on the bumper, put it on the bonnet in the form of a sticker.

Remember the other day when we were explaining the legality of foglights to that Vee-Dub guy, well right now your beginning to sound just as bad.

Especially with classic lines like this

"well if i have it right at the bottom of my window it would be infront of the wheels so technically then the advice your giving is wrong....."

for example this http://www.clubpolo.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=161965 :)
