14" x 9" Banded steels - freshly repainted in gloss black, not like in pictures!

I literally bought these a day ago (Bank holiday monday) from a chap off edition for £500, thing is I need 15"s as I run adjustable damping fixed height not coilovers so its in the air!

I have just noticed there are some dodgy banded steels on here after reading the add, I must add that these are a genuine set, the chap who I got them off - Scriv - bought them on a mk2 gti golf 16v 1988, on his sale thread for these wheels which I bought the previous owner before the golf mk2 had them puts "oh these were my wheels and confirms details about them etc - Just needed to clarify as I dont want getting mistaken for the dodgy set about lol!"

I would like exactly what I paid which is £500, you can even check this with chris or on the advert on edition.

erm, your big capitol letters and "genuine banded steels" does'nt really tell us anything?

when you say genuine what do you mean?

if you know which guys/company did them, or at least some kind of reference pictures would probably help the sale

Whats the condition of the tyres as they look pretty poor in the pics.

Definately interested but your gonna have to move a bit on price if the tyres are shot.

Sorry will get better pics, its been pouring down, tyres are stretched, a 195/45 across a 9"

No waving on the price, paid £500 on monday for them but just too small, need 15"s

If you can get them done cheaper I suggest it may be better for you

Am trying to trace the chap who mentioned on the thread but they are no "sh*tly" done and banger ones, come see before you slate Id say!

Will get more info up asap, was only going to use them as winters as I run RM's in the summer.

Hi mate,

I will get some better pics up by tomorrow hopefully, Just sitting the mk2 on the Steels at the moment before I put the RM's on for edition, so would be able to give you a better idea then.

They are all good and road legal, in your defence yes the one shown in the pic is front right and probably also the worst worn, but the picture doesnt help that either.

Will pm you or something with some pics, getting on to the car today so may have some by later.

Really I'm only looking for a set of 15" banded steels instead as its only because the 14"s look too small on my golf that I'm looking to change.

Also need to add that I would be quite happy for people to come round and see that no air leaks from the welds!
