just removed the 1.3l engine from my 59,000 mile ranger. can come with most of the ancillaries (alternator, air filter, coil etc) if required. was going to do the timing belt (which i'll chuck in) as i figured it was due, but then picked up a rebuilt GT engine and box.

i don't know any other history other than the low mileage, but it's in the way at my garage so if it's any good to you then make me an offer. i've got a GT cam on the shelf if you want to rebuild it with a bit more balls (extra £30 for the cam)

also the gt 5 speed box that i picked up with the engine. don't know the mileage but trust the guy who i bought it off that it's as good as the engine. has been painted black. looks like the going rate is about £50 for these, so looking for offers around that mark.

i'm in newcastle upon tyne, but looking likely i'll be driving to london at the end of this month so if you want to meet anywhere along the A1 then i can lob it in the back of the pissrat if a deposit is received beforehand.

£50 is for the gearbox but feel free to make an offer for one, the other or both. I'd prefer them to go to good use than to sit gathering dust in my garage.

will the gt gearbox line up with the 1.3 enigne and that ok and do you no what i would need to put this in my 1.0

yeah the gearbox and 1.3 engine mate up fine.

it will fit in place of your 1l - you may need a 5speed gear linkage - i'm not sure if they are different to the 4speed as i've only had 5spd polos

think the 5speed antirollbar may have the bend in a slightly different place as well. search the tech forums and you should find the answers you seek.
