Where would you normally shop?

Featured Replies

I need a bunch of silly little things... probably need to get genuine VW parts... but I can't seem to turn up any decent online people who can supply this stuff. For example, I need a replacement rubber mounting thingy for my aerial. Maybe replacement parcel shelf lugs etc. Random crap like that.

Where would you normally get this stuff (assuming you can't get it second hand) ?

try local VW dealerships

or look in Cars Breaking on here

theres a chap on ebay that i bought a fuel pump off for my 6n...

its called Stevens VW Dismantlers. everythings tested before sale and comes with a 3 month guarentee.

other than that, breakers yards are the best thing.

Breakers. I doubt VW will stock half the stuff you need anymore unless they use the same items on a newer model.

defo breakers and scrap yards. the sort you can scout around yourself. go down for a saturday morning and fill your boots- any bits of trim, screws, fuses and all that. they usually only want a fiver or tenner for that sort of stuff and you can sometimes find a treasure. (16v/SE bonnet vents which i shifted for £40 for example!)

Parts Gateway.

From my work... ;)

try primark i hear they have a sale on :)
