I'm trying to fit this:

I took all the original air box off (UFO type) and found these three bolts to be where the new bolts should be. (The bolts to hold the Golf elbow in place)

How do I get them out?

they are just studs that'll unscrew, get some pliers or mole grips round them if you don't mind mangling them. Otherwise get two nuts and lock them together and undo the stud.

that thread looks like a M-8 to me , just check what it is by gettin some nuts or whetever or measure across the bolt , if its like 8mm or just under then it will be M-8, and the same if its like 6mm , it will be a M-6 , run a nut down it about half way, and then another one after it, the second one will tighten up against it and then you will have a lock nut, try and line the flats up on the bolts and then get a spanner and grip the bottom one and turn anti-clockwise , it should turn the bolt and not the nut.

When i did it, as i didnt mind mangling the bolts, i just hack sawed a groove in the top (Covering the workings to stop filings going anywhere bad ) Then used a flathead screwdriver
