i have a courtesy car atm and some idiot has made a massive dent on my front passenger wing, some ones opened there door on it in the car park at work, must have fair flung open!! what could i do? do i have to pay for it repaired or what?

I would consider the above very poor advice. If no CCTV is available then you will just have to tell them you dont know who did it. I'm guessing its one of those dents that is clearly not from you running into anything. I take it the courtesy car has been provided by your insurance? If so it could well count as a claim against you, but if its just from a garage etc then it should be on its own policy and not affect you.

Trying to bodge it up yourself only makes you look like a dishonest idiot when they notice it if you ask me. If you could properly repair it to a fair standard all would probably be ok, but as soon as you mess with the car you take the risk that somthing might go wrong and get you into deeper shit, paint reacting etc.

I wrote off a courtesy car, didnt cost me a thing.

Normally you have to sign a collision damage waver which if anything does happen to the car, big or small, you pay £50.

Look at the paperwork you got, should say on there

Can you not take it to a proper dent repairer.. Since if the dent is big the Courtesy car place will just rip your eyes out.

Just be honest. As long as they see you haven't driven into a post etc, they shouldn't screw you over.

think my courtesy car excess was £250, but mine was brand new that day so there were no dents, returned with a small car park ding on the wing and they said nothing.

Saw it on the back of a transporter last week with the front smashed in after a h2h with a road sign.

did you not take out the extra cover that costs about £15 and covers you for any damage caused to it? if not then your a silly boy and they will probably punish you for it. you can never get the best out of a courtesy car without that cover
