just wondering what you guys get from your mk2 polo's.

last few times I've filled up a tank i range from 290 (giving it the beans SOMETIMES) & near 400 (when driving like a granny)

80-100 miles to a tenner with a weber 32/35 DTML mixed driving but mainly pottering about which isnt great to be honest, i got the same out of my Mk1 Golf 1.6 GTI and I gave that absolute bastard everywhere

My previous Mk2 1043 4 speed breddy could only manage 30 - 35 mpg driving like a granny.

My MK3 1272 5 speed can do up to 45 - 49 mpg.

I put the difference down to a) fuel injection b) aerodynamics and c) taller gearing.

Mk2 Coupe S (1.3 MH engine, 5 speed 8P gearbox). Normally spends most of it's time in the low 40mpgs. In its defence, it's probably a bit out of tune.
