My Mk 3 CL

Featured Replies

bought it totally standard about 2 weeks ago, one owner from new, 100k on the clock and a fully VAG main dealer stamped service history right up to last year, which means i feel a tad guilty for not servicing it at a VAG dealer again, but its my runabout!!

bought to relplace me GT that i sold to pettsy for breaking as it was a bit shoddy and not what i was after. basically i run it back and forth to work and use it day to day. this covers me cheaply to fund my silly turboed clio as a weekend car/toy/hobby!

but that doesnt mean i dont want to tinker a little with the polo, love these little cars, and its suprisingly nippy considering its only a 1.3 spi 8-)

anyway here he/she is (not decided on name yet, usually leave that up to my female friends, as yet they haven't come up trumps)

pics taken from the advert (was for sale on these forums, and no i didnt pay asking for it :-p )

i kept a few parts off the GT to fit to this, suspension (philj 60/40 i believe), my stereo and front speakers and the p slot alloys but had to sell them to afford this car.

so mods are:

- lowered on 60/40 philj kit

- wheel trims binned

- late spec rear clusters

- clear front indicators

- boot de-wipered

- 'catalyst' and 'coupe' badges removed

- all badges sprayed matt back

- GT spec taped bumpers

- pressed metal plates

- 'new' grey interior with split rear bench

future plans so far are:

- mattigs

- more lowering

- loose the side strips

- 5 speed conversion (for mpg, so 8p)

cheers for looking, any comments welcome
