been told the ap's are really good for the money, was thinking about them but just cant decide :?

AP's mate DO it

ta technics or FK's are bottom of the range really. The rides pretty poor, along with the handling.

AP's are rubbish if they are the ones that have just the one adjuster ring. Very hard to adjust them if the ring starts to seize or get stuck.

Get some FK Highsports!

Kw's have the one adjuster ring. and are probably the best suspension you can buy.

The adjuster ring is plastic on kw's tho

I've had FK Highsports on 2 cars now, both near/at the bottom of the coils, Rides Superb!

there is difference of about £100 between the ap's and the kws but what would be better?

KW are very well regarded, as are Gaz. I know a lot of people who run Gaz on BMWs (and a few Golfs) and can't speak highly enough about them. Good value too..

what about fk ak coilovers? fk anygood?

they will all do the job of letting you get low but you pay for the ride quality mate. if you spend the money you save with a philj kit on complimentary mods its worth it, b ut for a true drivers car id stay away from budget suspensiosn

I've had fk highsports on my 6n for 3 years. I think they're excellent... haven't tested others though so can't compare

I have PhilJ's on my polo. The ride is very harsh, but if all you want them for is to go low then you can't argue with the price.

i run fk highsports on my clio, excellent bits of kit and i've tried avo's and gaz's as well, only better ones i've found are leda's but they are silly money (drove mates car with them on)

You get what you pay for. Really better off saving your hard earned and not having to compromise lowness for a shite ride.

I just fitted JOM coilovers today. ordered them last friday, came yesterday. Really quick postage. think it was 230 quid all together and to be honest.. not too bad. obviously you get what you pay for so dont expect to feel like your driving a comfy sofa in a pool of custard....*cough*

to be honest i dont wan2 go lower than 40-50 mm, i just want some really good road holding

You'd be better off with a quality shock and spring kit then i reckon..

If you dont need the height adjustability of coilies, you'll probably get more for money, handling and comfort wise.
