I went from a mk3 to a 16v 6n but the raw fun of a mk3 pulled me back!!

i keep seeing GT's around and i think they look so good, and obvs there good cars to drive because there a vw, think i might have to swap . my GL's alright in speed terms but it weighs a tone, if any one wants to see it its in the for sale thread

and yeah, bout 300 quid cheeper on insurance. and i doubt it's as thirsty as mine lol. cheers for the replies

personally I'm a mk4 person but I'm really toying with getting a GT, is the GT 75bhp standard?? the 1.6 6n has great potential as its the largest 8v but its just not worth it lol

I was looking at Mk3 GT's before I got my 1.6 6N, I just found it so hard to find one in any reasonable condition, and unless you want to pay top dollar alot of them seem to be slowly turning into rust buckets. I was looking for about 3 months for a MK3 GT, or even a Genesis, but couldn't really find anything that was worth the money. Some people were selling fucked cars for £1300+, so I decided to change my plans and go for a 6N. In a way I would still love a MK3 just for the simplicity of them, but I think i'll give it a few years and get a G40 in the future!

Insurance strangely was more for me on a 1994 MK3 GT than it was on a 1998 1.6 6N, and a 1.4 16v 6N was even more than that!

GT all the way, will feel and actually be quicker than the 6n. :) Cheaper insurance, cheaper tax, nicer feel all round :)
