nvm, part of the fuel pipe was melted so just snipped that part off and ran a new bit of pipe for the time being.going 2 have to run a new full line through tho, does it go up and over the fuel tank?and is there a swirl pot in the front offside corner under the bonnet?cheers

some pipes go to the top of the fuel tank, from and to the lift pump that's in there.

the thing under the bonnet is the charcoal canister which is part of the tank breather system.

ok cool, and is it possible to feed the line without taking the tank out? ah ok, does a charcoal canister capture vapour fumes? so in theory fuel pases through this canister before going anywhere else?coz as i followed the line it goes into this canister and back out into a untracable line(without removing anything) and i guess into the engine?so this line would constantly have fuel in it, and when the ingition is turned on the fuel pump kicks in, spurts the fuel, engine off, fuel still spurts for a min? coz this is what happened when my bro in law and i snipped the line.

fuel doesnt go to the canister., only vapours coming out of the breather, these are then released into the engine to be burnt on part throttle.

should be possible to feed those lines in without taking the tank off, will take a bit of fiddling though.
