i've got one in an old flushed bootlid. Not gonna use it (well, not on the G anyway!) Can always whip it out and jam it in a box.

How can a boot popper burn out?

Maybe you should get the interior trim piece of and have a look.

I'm guessing you have a smooth boot then? How is it wired up? Independently or to the rear wiper stalk?

I Dunno thats just what i was told and yer iv taken the trim of so i can open the boot

Its wired up to a switch near the hand brake and the button on the key.

Try connecting the rear wiper or wash jet to the popper wire, then you can see if the problem is actually with the popper or the wiring.

Is it a propper solenoid or is it a standard door central locking one? if it's the door type tere about £4 on eBay Check it all with a multimeter then u no what the problem is!

Anyone know how easy these are to fit?

Very easy did one in about 45 mins after I had prepped all the wiring etc there's a how to guide on the ice section on here!

Call it a couple of quid for postage. I'll take it off tomorrow and see if i can run 12v through it to check it works (although the guy i got the bootlid from had it working before he removed the bootlid).

piece of piss if you wire it to the wiper, wirings already there just the fuse needs changing

if you do that u cant use you are rear wiper unless uve removed it!
