right i dont know anything at all about this cam.. it was given to me along with the cam followers by the previous owner when i got my 97 1.6 polo. had a look on the schrick website, downloaded the pdf catalogue and from what i can make out due to the numbers on the cam, this is a 264/260. for a 1.0-1.6 Polo, Golf, Jetta, Vento, Seat Cordoba, Ibiza, Arosa, Skoda Felicia..

schrick camshafts costs €280+VAT+P&P, cam followers £100.. but as neither are of use to me lets say £200 collected FIRM! located in southlondon, collection preffered but can look into postage at your cost.

if you need anymore info/pics etc i'll help as much as i can.

Not willing to split or negotiate on price.

It can't be for a 16v, it's only got 8 lobes on the cam!

everything on that list there is listed under 16v, which would make me think that this is for an AFH engine and not the 8v models. probably why the person you bought your car off, never fitted it!!

Also they retail for over £200. Piper cams are about £180 but the Schrick is far superior.

Read the post proberly and do some research.

Sean and for anyone else concerned, i 100% guarantee that the cam is for an 8v engine 1.0-1.6. read the last picture i posted it shows this. also in the same picture you can clearly see that these retail at €280+VAT+delivery!! and i have a recepit for the cam followers at over £100 (which i will post later when i find it). the guy didnt fit it because he didnt get round to it. my polo had a 4-2-1 and straight through zorst, next on the list was fit the cam and get the head ported & polished. but then i bought my vr ryan

Does it have longer opening intake / exhaust etc?

Would it also be possible to fit this to a AEE type conversion should this be happening in the future?

Yo Steve, You are looking at up to 8-10bhp and a nice sound at idle. More bangs, more bhp. Might wanna pick up a vernier pully as well for max alterations to the timing to get it perfect. If its like the 268/268 schrick cam i have it was so worth it.

It will fit the AEE as the 1.6 is used in the Skoda Felicia.

hi steve, not sure what sort of gains you'd get, anyone can guess.. but the only accurate way to know would be to rolling road it before and after tbh. :-) again unsure about your exhaust question? mayb the answer can be found on the schrick website? and yes will definately fit the 1.6 AEE engine, as i had the AEE in my polo. ryan

not necessarily.. the power gain will be dependent on your setup and will go in eaither a 8v 1.4 or 1.6
