Hey people, I took out my tints the other day, but as expected it's left loads of nasty sticky residue.

How on earth do I get rid of it!

I thought turps would do the trick but it kinda spread it around, as opposed to breaking it down and getting it off.

Any suggestions?

nitromours (sp) has worked wonders for me a few times :)

if its just adhesive, i have used a lint free cloth and sunflower oil and a shit loada elbow grease! seriously it works tho!

sticky stuff remover works brilliantly.

got some methalated spirit and a metal scraper to try tomorrow!

Abit of petrol on a rag would do it

Yeah, will come off well with either of them.

petrol is big win melts the glue from bumpstrips easy so should make easy work of that

Sounds daft but I promise it works as I did it to my Starlet GT when I took the tints off the front.

Deodorant (I used my mates lynx) spray it all over then use a blade (I got one out of a stanley knife)

Comes off so easily

I am so high on methylated spirit right now, and the guy who was fitting my alarm today also was as it soaked into my carpet by accident!

Whoever said Lynx, it doesn't do a thing, it just turns your windows white!

THE BEST THING TO REMOVE TINTS IS.....

Windolene or MR. Muscle window cleaners. Spray onto window to provide some lubricant then scrape off using a metal scraper. Works wonders!

Tried using WD40 but it's too messy and smells disgusting!

dont think u were supposed to use the antiperspirant cancer giving stuff i think u just use the bog standard stuff, does petrol work at all??? does it work on the bump strips aswell?

Best thing is normal window cleaner and a scraper, piece of piss!

Just finished polishing the glass up today and it looks mint now!
