I even washed it again today just for something to do!

Can't wait to drive it now. Need to spread the E word!

Eh? You tell me where to look and I will. Hope you haven't found something too serious?!

Nothing too serious, just the possibility of the charger mashing itself internally and blowing it into the engine.

Am in the middle of modeling it on CAD now so can stick up pics tonight.

Grab your pulley and see if it can move in/outwards.

Not as bad as first suspected. Pointing towards a duff eaton at the minute.

Got distracted and did no work today so will be finished by the end of the week

Ah ha. I'll whip the belt off later and have a jiggle.

Cheers for the heads-up

no need to take the belt off, just slacken the tensioner.

Need to align the belt properly anyway. seems to walk all over the place!

UPDATE:

Nice early day at work so thought i'd potter about outside for abit!

Rear beam, tank strap & brake load adjuster given a lick of black hammerite. Hopefully i can get all the underside done before the weather gets too bad? Removed the battery too whilst i was there and gave the tray abit of a coat to try and stop it rusting (although its not bad at all really - its better to be safe than sorry!)

Got the new side repeaters in place after fannying around with the drivers side bulb holder which had decided to lurk inside the inner wing :-( Pics up as soon as i get my phone cable.

Glad you stuck at it Jon! Bet its a little beast

coming on great mate! looking great under than bay now :D

Aleays wondered how you were ment to get around the weird shaped inlet on these haha!

Looks well mate

Just a piece of silicone pipe and some jubilee clips. Theres afew more things i want to finish the bay off but i'm keeping them a secret :ninja:

Beast? Pain in the arse is a better description. Will be a beast when it gets remapped. At the mo, it just stalls when warm and gets beaten by the mk4!

Work looks nice Jon, top stuff mate :).

Bet it sounds better than the mk4 though :p

It sounds hawt mate ;).

Ooo I see, the 1 litre power is better? I'm sure it will be sorted and be beating many cars on the road soon!

looking like it needs a good clean there jon ;)

At the mo, yes :-( Seems to bog down at high revs and the mk4 just rolls past!

The insides due for a damn good clean so i will get round to it. Getting it running properly 1st is priority ;)

UPDATE:-

carbon fibre has arrived. Now to begin constructing my new dial pod.

Pics to follow.........

Ooooh, hopefully my induction pipe has arrived too (got a missed delivery note from the postie!) so another job can be done at the same time ;)

Sounds awesome mate :). If you want a hand lemme know, I'll see if I can borrow some fuel £ off Dad :(.

I'll let you know tomorrow AM as I don't know when I'll be done at workor even if I'll feel like working on the car! Guy who's covering whilst my usual chaps on holiday is damn lazy!

decided to try and sort the air intake out today.

Got the grille off and figured out how/why it got broken. gonna order a new one off ebay i think. Next removed the front bumper so i could see what i was doing..

IMG_0824.jpg

Got the piping and tried to route it down to the gap behind the bumper..

IMG_0825.jpg

Realised the widest point of the airfilter i have is too big (and shit!) so i'm looking at other options like a mushroom shaped filter which will possibly fit better.

Whilst the bumper was off, gave all the metal work that usually hides the bumper a lick of hammerite to stop any moisture etc rusting it. Now got the remainder of the underneath of the car to finish.

Looks lovely from what I saw last time mate, keep up the good work :).

PS: Still got a can of spray paint waiting for us to get let loose on (wanna go pick up a VW front grill badge to paint that black with the rear one I got last time). Can't remember what it is you wanted spraying though..?

I've you've got a silver grille badge, I've got a genuine black one you can swap it with ;)

Was gonna do the wheels my man but I'm not 100% sure I want to yet! My other alloys have appeared so I might just leave the G60s as they are and run the alloys (when I've brought a 4th one to replace the one I mashed up abit!!)

Cut the grass as well - I 'm impressed!

I'll have to make a trip over and see it in the metal when I get chance.

Ahhh :)! That would mean I wouldn't have something to do though, but appreciate the offer ^^. As for your Team Dynamics wheels, can't wait to see them, that was what I originally planned for my car ;D. Atm I think I'll end up with any wheels I can get cheap so I can try refurbing them maybe... the joy of being bored and skint :(.

If it's cool with Jon then let us know when your going mate, as be nice to meet you too :).
