ok guys i have seen a set of porsche teledials for sale they are 52.3 offset 7j and come with the adaptors they have come off a scirroco i was just wondering will they fit my polo mk3 or will they have massive poke or will the adaptors be diferent for my car any help will be good thanks dan

What thickness are the adapters?

not sure mate what will i need to make them fit near enough flush

spacers are 20mm mate does thie mean they will fit

yeah, that'll bring the offset down to et32.3, so slap some 175/50s on and your good to go

if your offset of the wheel is what 50? and then youve got 20mm spacers that brings the offset down to yeh 30 as said above. thats fine with a 7j wheel i should think, loads of lads put 7j wheels on here with smaller offsets than that. and if you have had your car lowerd more than 40mm then you should think about if the wheels are gonna rub on the inside of your arches. what diamiter are they mate?

my bet is that they will scrub. thats not a very low profile tyre. a 175/50 tyre will have a tyre wall 87.5mm high a 185/55 will have a wall 101.75 mm high. bigger wall = more tyre flex. tyre flex is when the tyre bulges out, this will cause rubbing.

it really is essential to use the righ size tyres when fitting 15s to a mk2 or 3 polo.

that doesnt proove anything. 55 refers to the aspect ratio. I'm guessing your using 185/55s on your 14s? I've used them before on a couple of mk3s that have been lowered around 40mm, both times they have scrubbed.

I'm also backing the notion that you will get scrubbing problems with those tyres. I'd say it might even be worth going as far as getting 165/50/15s.

i run 15s on my g40 and the only tyres i will use are 165/50s. much wider on stock arches and it will scrub. I've been there and tried it.

14s will scrub very easilly if you use baloon tyres like 185/55s. the springs were most certainly 40mm, its all to do with rolling radius and tyre width as to whether you scrub or not.

55's on 14's arnt balloon tires :S , there bang on for me. dont like them too small , starts to look abit like barrys corsa.

a 165/55, 195/45 or 185/50 is a far better looking tyre combo on a 14" tyre. 185/55s were low profile back in the days when fiestas were fitted with 135/80 tyres
