I really like it.

I think it's a massive improvement over the MK5 one, but then the MK6 is a huge improvement looks wise over the MK5 anyway!

I saw this yesterday in a magazine.

It just made my next car choice a bit more complicated

Prices are yet to be finalised, but expect to pay £27-28k with a £1300 premium for the DSG six-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

It looks very Audi-esque in some ways I think, plus you don't seem to get THAT much for your money...

Well that is what makes a brand IMO, just like Audi, as soon as you glance in your mirror you know there is an Audi behind you :p

They are about 270bhp standard, thikn it was 267.

0-60 in 5.5 seconds

All these people saying that it looks so boring etc but bet your eyes would be glued to it if you ever saw one go past.

It's all about the mk6 golf's people... when will you realise...

I'd own one if I could, love it. But I'm baffled as to why VW didn't bump the power up to 300bhp and give it a fighting chance against the Evo and Impreza crowd. This has the chance to be the battleaxe of VW's performance catalogue, and it's just not quite there.

Yep they could have done that by dropping in the same power plant as the new TTRS, but thats treading on Audi toes and that will no doubt feature in an RS3 if it gets launched. Styling on the front looks like its come from the R8 lines.

I'm still not sold on the looks of the mk6 Golf. Something about the angles, they just look all wrong to me.

Well, its the only golf so far that I like that isnt a mk1 or mk2. anything inbetween looks gash imo.

If I could have one then I would. But why only 4 cylinders??

Do you think its only halfrauds employees that would go for the green?

Something about Fast Fords and Fast Vauxhalls just makes me think they're chavvy. Well not chavvy, but I get the image of them having england flags out of their windows around world cup time etc. Just don't have the class of the VW hot hatches.

The comment above, I don't know what I mean by it, but it's similar with Top Gear when they feature Fast Fords etc they play chavved up music and call it the Asbo etc.
