Wing Mirrors

Featured Replies

Hi there, I am new to the site after we recently bought our first polo.

We bought a 1.4 petrol engine polo match on a 51 plate and both myself and my girlfriend have found the car fantastic so far. I just can't help but wonder though why is the drivers mirror slightly bigger than the passenger side mirror??????

At first I thought it may have been the previous keeper who had it replaced incorrectly but I have seen other identical models when out and about with a similar feature.

Can anyone advise me????

vw and lots of other manufacturers do this so you can have better vision through the mirror. if you look close you will see a line down the glass. this indicates where the panoramic view comes in for blind spots..

some people just replace them with the lupo stubby mirrors. but even one of my arosa's has one mirror bigger than the other so its not just you mate :)

the real reason is that the polo and the smaller V.A.G cars was originally made for women hence the larger mirror on the drivers side! look it up in the reviews and oners manual's

got any pics....... of your girlfriend?
