My Polo 9N TDI - Might be sold next week :(

Featured Replies

Was looking to update my topic but its been deleted so I'll start again.

So I was browsing eBay one day and came across this CAT-D 2002 Polo 1.4 TDI. Was advertised as an electrical fault and I managed to get it for cheap. Turned out it needed a new engine as the previous one was flooded.

Bought the car like this:

Had to get it trailered to my local garage, then they started on putting the new engine in (haven't got any pics)

Then I bought some 16" Lenso BSX's, getting them fitted at the same garage that did the engine.

Getting them tracked

Then a week later I had a oil leak so back to the garage to sort out the leak

I then fitted in my sound system which consists of a Alpine CDE-9874RB headunit, JBL GT-410 10" Subwoofer, JBL GTO-752e amp. I'm looking into changing the headunit so it works with my iphone and upgrading the door speakers.

One pic of the whole car:

My future plans are to get the car lowered, tint the windows with a light smoked effect, a remap, smooth the bumpers, and I'm now off to Brighton to pick up some Votex sideskirts I'm still on the hunt for the front and rear Votex valances so if anyone sees any for sale, please PM me.

Heres a chop of what I want the car to look like:

Basically bought the Votex front splitter so now have enough of the kit to get it in the bodyshop. Sadly the bumpers have been sinking and I have to get them re-smoothed. Thinking of refurbing the wheels the same colour as the car or getting some other wheels. I also bought Spax 50mm lowering springs, just waiting on delivery of them now. So car will be lowered in the next few weeks and car should be in the bodyshop in the next month or so.

Also are springs easy to fit?

Cheers Sharif

How much did the new engine cost and how did you buy it for?

If you don't mind my asking.

Car is now confirmed as sold, It will be sold on Sunday.

I have the following parts for sale:

I have got a Votex kit brand new in primer which consists of the front splitter, side skirts and rear splitter. They are all packaged but the side skirts do not come with the fitting kit, i bought them like this as the guy had lost the fitting kit, i have been told any bodyshop could fit these with no problem though. - Looking for around £250 for the whole lot.

I have original 9n bumpers for sale (same blue as in the pic below). Can upload pics if needed. Offers of around £50 for the pair.

The new owner didn't want the Lensos so I sold them last night and this is how the car currently looks:
