I might buy a new car soon and a Polo is one of the cars I may replace mine with. I have a Passat and love my current wheels, I`ll move them onto my next car for certain..

I know they`ll need adaptors to fit a Polo as they are 5x112 but would 16` alloys with 205/55/16 tyres be okay on a Polo? They have small arches unlike my Passat

guessing a 6n or older so 4 stud? any idea of offset n width of wheels? a big tyre with adapters id say no. but with a change of tyre n mayb archwork anythings possible. find a car n offer them up is the best way 2 go.

They'd look hideous imo with a 55 profile.

Give us the wheel dimensions and offsets and we'll be able to tell you for sure what tyres you'll need and whether they'd be ok or not.

if you can physically get them to fit i say go for it.. dont think its ever been done before.. i want to see these results!

they are awesome rims! id have a go with smaller tyres, put your big ones on the bay to recoup some brass if there good! or sell em and get some smaller ones same design!

There was a red 6N on here rolling around on 17s, I have seen it before but I can't remember who it was :(

17s work great on 6N and 6N2 with 185/35-17 tires! But NOT with bigger tires, than it just suck....

love these wheels there is a mk3 golf on e38 with a set on look too cool!

your gonna need 165-45 tyres but i don't think you can get 4x100 hub adapters to 5x112 fitment

if you could i would snap them up myself! they would look sick

I run 16's on my mk5 GTI. I would defo say your gonna need a 40 profile, a 45 profile may cause issues

with lowering and rubbing with a few large pot holes.

40 profile all the way!

Your gonna struggle to find a 165/40/16 though as only 1 tyre maker produces them. Nankangs NS 2 i believe. check out mytyres.com

not really, you need to be handy with a hammer, welder, grinder, and undersealing haha. parts need to be removed from the mudflaps, and a part of box section needs to be slightly modified by 10mm.

some people like em, some dont, i think they look ok, and they haven't really raised the car, but mine are fairly heavy, so they have affected the 0-60.

was thinking get some deep dish's and lower it on its arse, any wheel suggestions?

You can put 17s straight on whit 185/35-17 tires. My polo up here has no modifications on the arches and no scrubbing. The keyword is SMALL enough tires!

His is that silver one.... Though iirc mk5s have slightly bigger arches than mk4s
