Yes.. you need to declare any change from when the car left the factory.

i have alloys on my car but i rang them n said they were on the car when i baught it and they just said right well theres no change to you are policy... just ring and ask them if it will increase because you dont know if they are standard or not if they say yes pay more if they say no jobs a good one XD

Pshhht yeh thats the theory behind it, does that include changing your floor mats? what about putting stickers on it? and changing the tyres?

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it if you don't declare it.

I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it if you don't declare it.

The thing is, if you have a claim and the insurance assessor finds undisclosed mods on your car then they may not pay out for the claim.

Floor mats - no

Stickers - I'd say yes. You could have a huge sticker across you bonnet which would make the car stand out more so therefore makes it more of an insurance risk. A small window sticker for example would be a no.

Tyres - no

16V bumpers on an 8V - I'd certainly be declaring them to be on the safe side.
