Was supposed to be collecting it this morning but there's been loads of snow here and that little beast isn't going to go anywhere in even a drop of it haha. I'll upload some as soon as I've got it. It'

I remember it snowing once when I had it... only time I had it maxed out in 5th and I wasn’t moving! 

 

Look forward to seeing pics of it! I randomly check eBay / pistonheads / autotrader to see if it ever popped up for sale! 

Picked it up lastnight. Not had a chance to clean it up yet but here she is lads

 

 

Bonnet been changed? Standard headlights?? I remember there being an issue with the auto levelling on the xenons. 

 

Standard interior back in is probably a good shout. Still got the 280mm momo wheel? Was a bastard to control with a tiny wheel but it looked cool!

 

How is it running?? Still on G60 steels?

Yes it appears to be running a standard bonnet and non xenon lights now. Also its not on the G60 steels anymore, I think the wheels its on are called ATS cups.

Its got what looks like a GTI interior in it, but that was put in by the mate I bought the car from. He bought it with no interior apart from a drivers seat. The climate control, window regulators and horn didn't work.

I know he put all of that right.

Runs sweet if you give it about 5 mins to warm up.

A great deal of vibration through the car...he says this is because the engine has been welded to the frame rather than using rubber engine mounts...was it like this when you had it?

How far are you? Having owned it before, you would be able to tell me how well its running better than me guessing.

In terms of engine mounts, I seem to remember it having solid mounts, even then I had an issue with it snapping mounts so I had another rear engine brace welded in to stop the engine rotating and trying to break free! So yes, it vibrates a lot but I loved it!

 

I’m junction 6 of the M25... I think it’s best that we meet on a Sunday when the banks are closed as I will likely try to buy it back! It was such a weapon.

A friend had a 20vt scirocco and ot was tight in that bay, he needed a frobt mount to stop it rocking 

 

Must be snug in the 6n2

Snug isn’t the word. I had one mount fail which shorted out the Main Live cable. 

 

I said I’d never have a conversion again but I’d love to own this again!

What are your plans with it?? Looks like it needs some TLC. 

To be honest, it was a bit of an impulse buy and the Mrs isn't too happy. That coupled with the fact I've got 4 other cars on the driveway

So it may soon be up for sale. Not going to put any money into it (not that it needs any money put into it), but it will stay the way it is for now until someone who will appreciate it takes it off my hands.

Havent had a chance to take any pics as yet as work has been manic. Will try to take some in the holidays.

 

Owing to other commitments this will now be put up for sale in the holidays. This is not a for sale advert (before I get in trouble with admins) but I will be putting it up for around the £2300 mark.
