I'd keep the vent steve...hehe Before the vent on a hot day if you gave it some beans then took the temp off the turbo it would be about 300c! Its there to let the hot air out whilst still, so it cools down quicker.

Took the car for a blast down to Brighton yesterday which was great fun... planned to get some good pics but it was bloody Land Rover London to Brighton day so it was rammed and the main road was closed :(

Boost seems to tail off very quickly at high speeds... I think it may be due to my exhaust which is restricting flow but I guess I'll find that out once I sort it.

I'm kinda leaning towards an Oval exhaust as I think the rear looks a bit... boring!? I don't want it to scream "look at me!" but in the same way I do want it to look good! We'll see.

I'll get some new pics once I'm back from holiday and get my new wheels! (Although I'm still not sure what to get!)

Options...

1) BBS RM's 15x7.5f 15x8r

2) Schmidt ML 15x8 all round

3) Something 16" with a 9j on the rear... but how much arch work will i need???

And will I actually be able to run decent stance whilst keeping it driveable (one reason why i'm thinking 16's).

Lots to think about!!!! But then wheels are probably the most important mod!

I'm really starting to get bored of it in black so over the winter i might buy myself a cheap a to b car and get the polo resprayed.

as for wheels.. i think you should maybe go for 16s. as 15s you have to be pretty low in my opinion to pull them off.

I just think the rear end needs something... Plus I want to completely smooth the boot so it'll look even more plain!

Well I may go back to my original plan of 16x7.5 / 16x9 KT1's... I absolutely love them, I know they fit over my brakes, and I think the style is quite well suited to the 6n2.

It does make me chuckle! 4th is still a bit sketchy in the wet!

Mine pulls off the clock no problem... My brother test rode a new GSXR750 on saturday and I was chasing him in the polo... Down a short dual carriage way I was off the clock and he had 150mph up on his speedo. (on a private dual carriage way which is actually my drive way.)

But I really need a boost gauge... it 'feels' like it's dropping from 20psi down to about 5psi. I'm not sure if it's the map or the exhaust or something else... so I'll get the exhaust done and then get a new map... I'm probably gonna take it to Jabba for a day of checking over it and a new custom map.

Up to 3rd gear it's unbeleivable. Then 4th is good until about 120mph and then the boost goes, 5th there's hardly any boost either.

Maybe it is a problem with the map / fueling as if it was the exhaust surely it'd have problems in 1st/2nd/3rd????? Oh I don't know... it'll get sorted! I know it's bloody quick as it is!

And you need a remap badly mate!!!!! Std BAM is nothing compared to it being remapped!!!! Makes a huge difference and the smiles are endless!!

Nah, I've got a SS Oval back box at home... it's not that big... just looks nice. So i'm gonna do a home creation jobbie with it... well me brother is! He's got all the materials and tools so should be pretty cool.

I thought mine was 02j? As far as I know it's a std Ibiza Cupra box.

It's about 70mph in 2nd, and goes well off the clock. But then that's on the speedo and I don't have a rev counter atm.

That looks pimp mate. I like how you have used a normal seat base and attached it to you are current seats. Looks nice but if i was you i would remove them and spray them black. They would look even nicer. or maybe sticker them up. :)

That's the one part of the car I hate! The seats sit bolt upright and far to forward. I will be changing the subframes for proper side mounts when I find out which ones fit!

The Seats have a Wheelwhores sticker and a £50 note stuck to the back of them... both will get removed when i get a chance!

I want my car sprayed Avus Silver so the seat backs will be going Avus Silver too.
