Hey guys u prob seen my previous posts about g40s, gts etc just a question about the 1.3cl which i own and the 1.3 GT which I'm looking into putting engine in my car to replace my 1.3cl

so the question is is whats accually the difference between them they are both the same engine size etc all i can see is a MPI system on the GT and SPI system on my 1.3cl

and if it is due to MPI on the gt and if i put that on my engine the 1.3CL would it basically make it a GT as if it does that will save a lot of cost but will it perform aswell

the gt's have a higher piston compresin wich gives the gt its highr hp and

you are best just doing the engine swop..

wouldnt the compression be down to the head being skimmed down ??

the compression is how much the fuel and air can be compressed, the higher the more power you get, the area for the fuel and air to be compressed in on a mk3 is in the piston (head is flat so skimming it makes no difference to compression)
