What rally style car could I get when I'm 25?

FPMSL! You try finding a SWB Audi Quattro!

Oh... you'll need a mortgage too!

For the record I wasn't suggesting the S4 as a legitimate option, just got all excited and decided anyone who hadn't seen one before should!

Lol, lots of replies...thank yoooou! No need to argue, love all the ideas people have come up with.

Thing is now, instead of thinking about a car I'm going to get in 5 years time for myself...I've had a chat with my Uncle, who's mega keen about MotorSport too...and we're going to save up and get a track day car. Something along the lines of a Peugeot 205 1.9 GTI...but are open to suggestions too, and ideas about decent track day cars as well as rally style would be wicked.

Pistonheads seems a great site, having lots of fun looking at it. The icea of getting this track day car seems a lot more realistic than looking ahead to what I want in 5 years time.

Cheers, :-)

hey i am looking at going into motorsport and rally cross is my favourite type of motorsport i have been working on a mk2 escort for a few years now and one of the over lads was number1 mechanic on petar solburgs car he really knows what he is doing, i have asked him a few qustions and he says start off small and work up big insted of getting a 205 get a 309 becouse they have more stubility to them. I always thought a volvo 340 would make a good rally car + you see alot off volvos in rallycross mind the sweeds love there volvos. you should start off auto testing and work up like road rallies then staged good luck with it i hope it works out you should think about using it as a daily tho JOE

cant remember the last time i saw a 309

Mates that do rallying have always used corsa's and small Peugs ...

Start off small and work your way up to a bigger car otherwise it will end in misery dude ..

cant remember the last time i saw a 309

Lad round here has a GTi! Cant see it lasting too long though, gets absolutely raped.
