Hi all, as titled I've got a few panels that need spraying.

Due to various dodgy incidents, sloppy autotesting and uninsured drivers, my car is currently wearing a bonnet, full front bumper, grill surround, and NS wing from a different coloured car.

I need to sell the car on and so want to get these panels sprayed up to get the car looking nice and standard. I was wondering how much I would be looking to pay for having all of these panels sprayed.. in terms of materials and labour.

Also, I would like to do as much of the prep as I can to save on labour.. and was thinking of rubbing down, prepping and priming the panels myself. If I handed over all these primered panels to a spray dude, how much would the paint and lacqeur cost (its metallic), and how much labour would it be? how much would it save me if i just handed him over some unprepped panels without primer and would it be worth me doing myslef?

also.. could i primer the panels with any old primer or will what type of primer i use effect the paint and lacqeur he put son afterwards? i was probs gona go for some kind of rattle can primer.. maybe halfrauds or dave edwards?

Not an expert on this subject but I'm gettin bumpers sprayed soon an the bloke whos doin it for me said, if i do the prep work(wet an dry, prime an all that jazz) .. he'd do the labour part of sprayin dirt cheap. helpful?

you'll find that most professions and like myself dont like to have someone else prep the panel, we prefer to do all the work, that way we know its to our standard and it anything happens to it then we are to fault and can fix any issues

i have been doing all the re-spray my self its not to hard if you take your time and not to expensive, unless you find a good deal from a nice guy just do it your self if you need to save the cash
