Wiring My Speakers to My head unit

Hey Guys,

Ok i have a kenwood headunit, and i want to wire in some speakers to put in my parcel shelf, but my car was only desighned to have speakers in the front so I'm really stuck, I'm only 17 and i am a bit useless when it comes to ICE so I'm really stuck I'm just asking for any help ANY AT ALL on what i need and where wires go when connecting them to my headunit.

this may not help but what i did was either amp them up (the obvious one lol) or u could run wires through to your speaker wire if u get me... more detailed basically cut the wires to you are front speakers then wire have at least an inch of bare wire and just wrap about a metre of wire around the bare wire and run it thru to the back of you are car to you are speakers :) jobs good... id still wire them to an amp though get better sound and quality as long as u dont get interference... sorry for long post x x good luck with this mate

Universal headunits can power four speakers, so you can run four speakers from it without having to bodge a wire onto your front speaker cables.

The quality would more than likely be poor.

Have you had to buy an adaptor to connect your headunit to your original wiring loom?
