o.k I'm looking to fit these to my 6n, bit different from the crowd

R92 7-spoke Fin ET48 19.0lb (8.6kg)

Et is 48, the standard 6n et is around 35 isnt it, so if i fit 10 or 15mm spacers they should fit, am i correct or barking up the wrong tree?

16 inch wheels, on 195, 45, 16 toyo tyres is the plan, or if i stretch tyres what size should i use

You may need something like a 10mm spacer on it depending on how close to the suspension it is. How wide are they?

Centre bore is smaller on new mini wheels....

only by a mm, easy to dremel out and get them on.

if they arent very wide, i.e around 6.5j you could run 165/45s

yea the centre bores are 1mm narrower on bmw mini rims, the offset could be a problem tho! thats the only thing I'm kaking myself about! but mine are only 15"x5.5j so i wont have as many probs if any! fingers crossed for us both lol

thanks for replys guys, i think there 6.5j, they were free so i thought i would be different, so i might have to use the dremel to open up the bore, if that going to cause me problems at high speed if the bore is inaccurate or will it be o.k?

if i was you i would reccomend wobble bolts, i reckon they will be more secure than "retro fitting" wheels.

Just my 2p tho. Id also reccomend a 40 profile if your rollin on a polo, will help with arch clearance,

45 profile could cause a few issues if your thinking of lowering etc.

Wobble bolts won't do anything to help with the difference in centre bore sizes!

yer man is right a session with a dremel is the key. I'm running the pepperpot style ones on a mk2 with no problems, (cheers jon they are still tops)

Lardyb you runnin 175/50/15s if so were did u get em at mate? I don't think u have to be too accurate on the bore because you also have 4 studs holding the wheel in place, it might be worth looking into getting a metal engineer to bore em, would be a 5min job for the!

got them proper cheap off my tyres £32 each. what a result. must have been a mistake as I've never seen them that cheap again but they arrived.

if you can afford em deffo go for bridgies.

The centre bore of 0.1mm wont be a problem - especially as you'll need spacers anyway.

If trimming the centre bore,do not do it with a hand tool such as a Dremmel - it must be properly centred.

Why? the wheels are lug-centric anyway, half the wheels I've ran on my cars over the years have had a centre bore way larger than the vw centre bore and I've experienced no issues what so ever.

if the centre bore was so important to centre the wheel it would need to be a much higher tolerance, i.e. an interference fit. once you bolts are done up correctly the centre bore of the wheel probably doesnt even come into contact with the spigot.
