Ok so around the beginning of the year i passed my test and wanted to start driving immediatly

so i looked around wanting a car and found this.

I'm sure quite a few people have seen it before, i know i had at no rice.

here it is before i bought it at no rice

When i got it i didnt do much to it, had to go back to steels as the tyres scrubbed too much, so i sold the wheels.

also had to go to standard suspension so its flying high and cruising over speed bumps.

so here it is then, with some white steelies that i bought and some stretched tyres

aka, my lowering kit for the rear haha!

here it is at Edition38 this year

My mate (waz56) has a spare bonnet and as he was never going to use, i took it!!

so i made my own little modifications!!

i shall be adding a splitter from a MK1 golf soon and a large antena, hopfully lowering it and getting some new shoes soon.

Tbh mate it looks nice - I love black cars :). Not too sure on the bonnet though :(. What I'd do now is add a another set of headlights in the middle (like rally lamps), think it would look the nuts!

well I have the old bonnet in the garden so this one is just something funny.

and I kinda like the single lights. if I did have the centre lights I'd want it different, maybe make them the indicators. ha that might be a plan!!

a few other things I have done is stripped the leather material off the doorcards, give it a bit more colour inside! :p and iv made my own centre console, but I rushed it for edition so I'm going to make a proper one next time!

I recon you shoulda just done a bit of arch work and made those wheels fit! Looked rude as fook. I'm liking the sound of your plans though, any idea what wheels you'll be going for?

I am planning on lowering it again so dont panic and I'm hopfully getting some "rare" ronals by next week.

just so you lot know, I do have the original black bonnet in my garden so it will be put back on in time wheni get bored of the current design.

and the wheels are with my mate, they were being shreaded on my car and I couldn't afford to have the tyres replaced if they got serious.

I also have a mk1 golf splitter which I'm going to put on it at some point.

sorry? you buy a slammed VW and you want to cruize over speed bumps.

i loved the car before, but i know alex and the old suspension was way past salvageable, the shocks were ruined and the top mounts fooked, it had to be changed and it just worked out that his dad wanted standard suspension on, just as you lot know being 17 and declairing mods is not easy.

Every one is equal to thier own style and the body of the mk2 is not in the best of condition, although the pic does not show it we counted 43 parking dings one day, so i think lay off the guy for his first car he likes it and thats what matters, unlike most of the scene which is all the same a mk1 golf on lm's is almost as common as a standard one now.

and on the plus side i got his Rial wheels ;D so make me an offer!

As long as you dont decide to run them on a montana green mk3 with a 1400 16v AFH engine then I think I'm safe being the only one!
