* Alpine: CDA-9886R full speed i-pod connection.

* Navman s-50 [ for some unknown reason i took the time to respray it matt black (: ]


{Original post when i first bought the polo}

Well, its been a long search to find a 9n3 i could afford, and in black XD, that i actually was happy with, but i didn't give up searching, and here i am

I have some big plans for my polo and i hope i get some good ideas too

I am open to any suggestions what so ever, and also i would love some help to achive the look i want, and i hope to show the transition my polo goes through on here.

I've been driving around 5 months now, a lot of mates told me the fun dies after a while, but owning a vdub, i have to say i still love it just as much as when i first stepped foot in it.

Well on my way to owning some schmidt modern line 3pc now. One thing that has been bugging me the whole time I've been driving has to be the alloys, well the suspension as well, but got that sorted :), so should be fun once i get the 3pc on and stretch.

All in all the fun never stops, i love my polo to pieces and i will carry on working and saving up untill i am dubbed out.



my plans are;

- Schmidt - Modern-Line 3pc. 16" ( 8's on the front and 9's on the rear. ) haha its funny how when i first wrote this i knew id eventually get some, and I'm halfway there now with 2 9j's on there way, when i bought some tt comps i knew its not what i wanted, and decided to sell them and carry on lookin for modeern lines 3pc.

- Ap suspension coilover kit (DONE)

- rear window tints (DONE)

- debadged front grillie (preferably honeycomb or mesh) (DONE)

- black rear badge (DONE)

- removed POLO lettering on rear (DONE)

new additions now I've done all and halfway through one :

- full leather re-trim.

- smoothed rear badge and key-less handle.

- smoothed Aeriel and inner Aeriel fitted.

- Gti skirts.

- Gti bumper.

- Gti front splitter.

- New exhaust system.

- Smoothed over licence plate holder, and fitted holder on lower grill.

- smoked front lights.

- Air ride. ((((eventually))))



Well here is how it started:







- Just after my AP's were fitted.
- Rear badge re-spray.
- Deletion of rear wiper.
- New rear sticker.









- Custom painted GTI honeycomb grille (red band sprayed white, main badge sprayed matt black).
- Backing to rear badge re-sprayed white.
- Rear Window Tints.

I like the last shot, mate has one, his is Red.. Yours looks much better in Black..

I'm pleased you made this thread mind, i always seen your display picture and thought your car was purple, much better colour here

This has been a slow as hell update so sorry about tht......

mainly due me to crashing my car the day b4 Christmas eve, and using all the money i saved for mods to fix it, oh and Christmas money XD.

snow + ice + too much confidence made me fly straight into the ditch, with my gf sat next to me, not the best of times

TOTAL money payed to fix £1275.00 all done now and its back to its normal self

ON THE GOOD SIDE

my coilovers arrived yesterday :) all the way from Germany, only took 2 months to arrive LOL and i thought venom were supposed to be fast.

So I'm gonna be gettin them fitted on sat, along with a new lining underneath my car what smashed in the crash, and also Graham at retto auto's is ordering me some front fog lights to fit on so tht should be good

so far, things I've done to my car include:

- dewiper rear

- take badge off prime it and respray it gloss black

- debadge polo lettering

ill get some update piks up on saturday when I've had my coilovers fitted and fog lights might be monday.

Things to come soon, include:

- debadged front grille

- pressed number plates

- smoothed rear with remote boot

things to come in time, include:

- modern lines alloys 9j all around

- tyre stretch

- arch rolling

- professional window tints

now I've got my crash out the way i can get on with it

I'm thinking of getting the same coilys, say how they ride when you got them on :)

Just got em fitted today, its slammed, erm compared to stock, it takes corners like a beast, on the otherhand u feel everything on the road every little bump, but they do feel really good, I'm lovin it so far gettin some piks up maybe monday gonna giv it a polish n put my rear badge back on caus I'm sprayin the baseplate a lighter grey.

it was at st performance in retford no no mates rates or anythin, i had a mate willing to do it for 60 but he wanted to do it in a week or somin caus he was busy, so i just took it to st.

Looking good mate I've got AP's on my polo too is that all the way down front and back?? on the rear have you taken out the base plate?? or just wound all the way down??

cheers matt and ste, yeah the front still has some to go down, not much, the rear ve had the adjusters taken off, i would love it to be lower but its maxed out.

ah okie yeh cos i need to take my rear adjuster out to get it a wee bit lower and then wind the front all the way down.

de wiper easy to do ?? what size grommit is the blank?? and where did you get it from?

the dewiper, erm its easy to an extent till u try to take the actual arm off, just wiggle it about a lot and apply some wd-40. erm the grommit was a 21mm and i bought it from halfords for £1.70 i think it was but you can get em cheaper from like bnq.

How far down is that? Still undecided on springs or coilys

well at the garage they said i got a 6 inch drop from standard, n there ap coils i bought from venom, on the rear I've had the adjuster removed so i could get an inch lower.

If anyone has any secondhand bbs rs alloys shoot a p.m my way. or modern line 6pc
