golf mk3 16v for sale, show ready daily driver...

Featured Replies

ok, i have been thinking about this for some time now, i really really want a mk1 with the same engine as mine has now, and free up a little cash if poss,

most of you know the car so here goes.

engine/car

2Ltr 16v ABF,

1996 M reg mk3 golf.

milage reads 182K on the clock, but actual milage i belive is around 150 mark, as it was approx 20k-30k off when according to the hpi and service book when i bought it, poss had new clocks fitted??

ABS/power steering, electric windows, electric sunroof, heated rear screen etc etc, scopion thatchem cat 1 alarm with cert to prove

completely standard engine, apart from cat back exhaust.

oil changed like 5 or 6 times in the last 9 months or so due to cracking sumps and a leaking filter housing, gear box oil changed twice, filter twice, plugs and dizzy cap also changed.

no knocks, bangs, grinds or smoke of any kind, starts first time every time, strong g/box, pulls like a train through every gear, doesnt crunch and the cluth feels strong as it did when i bought it a year ago. i have cleaned the throttle body out and the idle stabelisation valve out aswell, and this has deffo had a posative affect on her.

the mot was carried out in june this year and passed with no problems what so ever.

other than the above, I've just cleaned the block and g/box casing, and painted it all satin black, nothing special, just nice and clean

and simple.

chassis

the car has just been fitted 3 days ago with FK KonigSports fully height and dampening adjustable, they are fully wound down, the fronts have had the helpers cut in half, and the bump stops cut in half, and are running the maximum camber possible, they are also VR6 front top mounts.

(i do have a brand new set of springs in you didnt want the cut helpers etc)

in the last 6 months i have replaced, the rear discs, pads, bearings, rear stub axles and rear flexi brake lines with good ridge braided hoses, the front discs, pads, bearings and flexi hoses with braided goodride hoses.

wheels are corvette, 16x8.5 and 16x9.5 with falken 195/40's and 215/35's for a nice stretch, adaptors are H&R 5x100 to 5x120 20mm adaptors, with 1.5mm machined from the sprigot ring.

wishbones, subframe, rear axle etc are all standard and untouched.

bodywork/outside

ok since owning the car i have,

all the arches are fully pulled and flared approx 20mm all round.

front wings smoothed, side repeater deleted,

front bumper smoothed, deleting, plate recess, fog lights, indicators, and vent ducts, keeping swage line through the bumper, very tricky job.

vento lower splitter,

full vento front end, smoked lights, early vento grill in textured black,

rear bumper smoothed and sprayedincluding lower valance,

custom dtm mirrors smoothed into base plates, fully electric, in textured paint.

cl 3dr side strips,

areo wipers,

stubby areal,

hella all red rears,

de wipered tailgate, using a gromet, not smoothed

black roof,

the whole car has been fuly flatted back and every panel buffed, then de-swirled and detailed, taking hours upon hours.

interior/inside

konig k5000 front seat on custom fixed subframes, but can be adjusted, fully trimmed in fudge vinyl with black stitching.

all 4 door cards fully trimmed in fudge viny with black stitching, padded centres etc,

dash borad trimmed in fudge vinyl,

flocked glove box lid, both under trays, and centre console,

black leather gear stick gator and handbrake gator.

black leather momo team 280 with boss,

all a,b,c pillars trims sprayed in textured black,

foor lining fully trimmed in choc brown vinyl, with sunvisors and black stitching.

one off fixed polished S/S rear strut brace, and one off black harnesse's with built in enurshers from a challanger 2 main battle tank seriously!

custom faulse carpeted floor,

kenwood mp3 player

amplified component speakers all round, brand new a week ago.

4 channel amp.

3 10" infinity sub in a special slim line box with built in amp (really kick),

all in good working order,

bad bits, every car has them!

a few very minor problems, horn doesnt work, but gonna get something silly like an air horn wired in, I'm 100% i broke the horn trying to fix it lol so the wiring is fine.

no fornt indicators, in the wings or at the front, never been a problem for me, but you might want to do something with them??

sunfoor is leaking, and one of the small control arms has snapped, which means, when its put up, it doesnt come down, you have to move one of the small arms into place then send it down, but this arm also stops the sun roof from sealing properly, new sunroof would solve this and it would be fine, seen em on here for £20.

Both sills are slightly crushed under the doors where someone has obviously not cared where they jack the car up, i would get them fixed, but i do not have the funds. could alsways fit standard side skirts.??

there are a few stone chips on the leading edges of the front wings where they meet the headlights and very ends of the grill, but like i siad this is my dialy so there are bound to be some, but i will get these sorted.

and finally, its Never been a problem for me, but the car is seriously low, and i love it like that, (gone through 3 sumps in the year or so I've owned it) but if you wanted me to, obviously the car could be raised to accomodate your needs.

i think thats it... the car is located in liversedge west yorkshire, asking price is £4995 ono, or £4200 without the wheels.

would PX against a mk1 with 2Ltr 16v engine and good body work, or a good condition mk2 rallye.

any questions please dont hesitate to aks, 07894643434 cheers, jon.
