I thought it was a car that was for sale...5k for a gearbox,must be worth it to someone,but not me.

Its whats fitted to the super 1600 polo rally cars, and dogwoods sprint polo. They are pretty special and back in the day cost around 10k hahaha

well the mk4 polo which is also the mk5 if you count a mk3 as a 2f.... but they also used it earlier in the polo 3 which is a polo 4...... confusing eh!

basically the box fits on to the vw small block pattern, which is why dogwood had one in his mk2f car with an afh (all be it loosely) based engine

the box requires a lot of fabrication to fit including equal length drive shafts and dry sump to name a few

Has anyone ever driven with one or an s1600 for that matter?? there's a few citroen c2 r2s knocking about in the 25k region, which when you think about the kit that they come with, propper box (6sp seq), all the propper suspension, tunned engine, fully prepped shell, thats a good price!
