Hey, long time since i last posted on here, been so busy with uni, but anyway to the matter at hand, the problem I'm having is that on my way to uni I opened my Open Air Sun Roof, but when i came to parking up and then closing the roof it went to about 3/4 of the way closed and then it wouldn't budge it just sounded like the motor was jamming/grinding against something, so i used the special key to close it, however when i went to open the roof again it wouldn't open, the motor jamming/grinding sound was there, it would move like 1mm and then start grinding

does anyone know what the problem could be ?, I'm thinking the motor but i have no idea how to get the motor out or what else to check

Taking it out is really easy, 2 bolts and its out. No need to align the new one either, fits straight into position.

its like a Z shaped metal rod, threaded on 1 side and theres like a threaded hole you can put the rod into, then you keep turning it clockwise to lock it into place and then it'll start to get hard to turn, that means you can manually close the open air roof, is the motor is fucked, like i had to do

thought i should add when the special key is inserted to close the sunroof by hand the motor doesn't click or anything, it works smoothly...any ideas ?
