they came on ventos as well except they had holes that were D shaped (by D shaped i mean they look like a guitar plectrum)

Heres my wheels, I'm wanting to get some of these driver steelies, and would be interested in a swap for these. Oh yeh the tires in the pic are the old tires, they were massive 65 ratio balloons lol , they now have 55's , which i no still isnt motorsport thin but suite the wheels down to the ground!

They are BBS style OZ routes. They are 6" wide and 14" in diamiter with an ET of something like 35. so they fit nice and straight with any mk3 arches.

they come with nearly new tires aswell!

you do realise these steels are worth next to nothing? you could probably buy a set from a scrap yard for a tenner with tires, they came on poverty spec golfs ect so there are thousands of them about.

they look more like the steels from a ford orion than they do G60's imo

seriously mate, they look just like the poverty spec ford steel's of the early 90's, same size too.

but like i said if you want a set go down to your local vw breakers, even normal scrappys might have a set in, will save you a lot of scene tax. with the price of scrap metal being not very high the wheels ain't worth much to them, plus they have to pay to have the tires disposed of so a set of 4 wheels with tires will end up costing them money (which is why you get more when scrapping a car if it has no wheels on it).

the vw scene must be the only scene where people actually pay good money for poverty spec steels even though they are readily available for next to nothing lol. i'm not arguing that they can look good, i had a set on my jetta till the other week and i liked them, but the tires went bold so i chucked them on a car i wanted moving. makes me laugh when i see people trying to sell them for inflated prices, my mates got a mint set with shafted tires on he's let you have for a tenner, saves chucking them away

just don't wanna see some one get ride of a tidy set of alloys for some thing that you could get for next to nothing mate.

my post wasn't aimed at you mate. i was just pointing out that these wheels are ten a penny and not worth much and while i was at it having a dig at the people i see on here and other vw forums trying to sell these off for £80-100+. i can't post stuff like that in the for sale section (without getting another ban ) so i posted my advice in here where people who want these sort of wheels might see it

Yeah you see them advertised for like £80-100 and its a joke. Mainly cause there not even refurbed or anything. Just standard steels. You can pick up a full set in a scrapyard with centre caps and bolts for like £20.

The only reason G60 steels hold there value is because your options for 15" VW steel wheels is just them really. So they will hold there value well. But there are endless amounts of 14x6 VW steels which is why I don't understand why people pay fortunes for them.

lol after all i got a set of golf steelies with brand new tires! , there 13's by 5.5" wide. just wondering wheres the best place to get low profile 13" tires?

some G60 lookalikes went for £68 with tyres on ebay with a a lil refurb last night

g60 steels only cost like 50 notes a wheel brand new. Ow these plebs try and sell 2nd hand 'poverty spec' steels for 100 is a bit of a joke.

Oh, and i'v seen the 14" go for like a 10-er on ebay.

The ones that look exactly the same as G60's but that are 14" are the standard MKII GTI Steels.

i didnt pay FORTUNES for my g60 lookalikes!!! they came with the car when i bought it. Yes they probably are off a mk2 golf, the lad asked for the alloys, I've got a set in mint condition, with brand new tyres fitted last week, only mentioned them!

i always get cocky comments about the steels for some reason.

to get it straight I'm not flooging them for loads of money!!! just want a swap.

go to a scrappy and try get a mint set wirth brand new tyres then chaps :)
