I think the worst already has happened.

The pulley has been moving left and right with the shaft causing a engravement in the side of the charger.

Its very noisey and is throwing out about 1 litre of oil every 100 miles :(

So I am pretty sure a new charger is needed!

Correct me if i'm wrong though!!

Theres a possibility with a new casing, your current charger could be saved with a rebuild from the likes of Jabba.

However, by the time you've paid for one half of the 'charger casing plus a rebuild, you would probably be at 2nd hand charger money.

Hopefully you can get hold of one thats been recently rebuilt. I'd personally get a replacement rebuilt anyway, unless I had sufficient paperwork to say it had been recently serviced.

I did wonder about your charger as the strut tower did look rather covered in oil, compared to what I'd expect from a G running the boost return mod.

Yeah it has been leaking for a little while and i changed 2 seals which seemes to be ok for a bit but now it has gone altogether!

That's ideally what i want but can't seem to find one anywhere!

Mine was only rebuilt about 10000 ago (stage 4 with 65mm pulley) and it hasn't been abused by myself.

Basically I have brought a shed :(

haha na mate was tempted as a spare but i cant see me needing one at the min, its not that cheap ? you could offer him more if you want?

for a brand new one i see that as cheap, not that i know much about them.

It's so tempting, just £460 is a lot to part with!!

i have a few spare parts knocking about. More than willing to offer you them at a decent price if you figure out whats wrong with yours
