Right, bought a trackday MKII Golf recently and have now decided I should really have something cheaper to run as a daily as I have the Golf for speedy kicks.

The car has covered 156,000 and I've owned it for 14 months and loved it. When I got it it had 139,000 on the clocks.

Spec:

2.0 16v 9a engine with 1.8 KR Cams (ups bhp from 136 to 145-150)

Lowered 40mm (no idea what make)

17" RS4 reps bought brand new last year (couple of scuffs but nothing major)

Rear tyres excellent, fronts not so good.

All red rear lights

Drilled airbox

10 months MOT

4 months tax

Plenty of History

New windscreen

recent Grooved front discs

recent green stuff front pads

New top mounts

Spoiler works as it should

Sunroof works as it should

Bad points:

Every panel has a small dent

Bumpers a bit scuffed

Leading edge of rear arches have very slight rust but solid on sills and round filler cap.

Steering rack has seen better dyas meaning turning right requires a bit more effort than turning left, good used rack included.

Passenger rear wishbone bush is a bit knackered, new arm with all new bushes included.

Heater blower only works on 1 and 4. Have a sparer motor but I think the dial may need removing and the contacts cleaning up.

Interested in a tidy 6n with MOT and Tax, pref 3 door and 1.4 (not fussed about 8 or 16v).

I've got a 16v 3door in metallic black on coilies... will be going for mot in a week or so...

Yeah it runs great, it flies and sounds brilliant. I'll get some pics up tomorrow of the bad bits.

Forgot to sat I have a spare boot with glass but no spoiler in the right colour that comes with it as well.

Got any pics of the Polo? Sounds right up my street.

haha... yeah just loaded that pic on to the laptop n posted the wrong one!!! sold the taxi last weekend!

Ha ha I did wonder when I saw the first pic as it wa sthe weirdest looking black 6n I'd ever seen!

Looks good, just a pity your miles away as I'd rather have a good look over the car (and I'm sure you'd like to do the same.)

i go down to south wales from time to time so if i sort u a load of pics so we're pretty certain if we want to swap and i'll arrange to go visit my fam. down there n then meet somewhere n make the final decision... n then swap or not!

cool mate well, not got any pics off hand but will sort some... has a couple of little rust scabs, one bigger one on the drivers sill as you can see in the pic...

Its done 75k... pretty spotless inside rooflining needs a clean along with the sun visors! everything is standard the coilies are TA Technix... its a spot on colour like a dark metallic charcoal... one tyre is cracking (old) one is ok and the rears are pretty much brand new... one alloy has somescratches on it... not really surewhat else to report!

Cambelt been changed on schedule, tax, any history? Can't think of anything else right now but if I do I'll let you know. TBH it sounds ideal!

Meant to say in my add that the camblet was done on the Rado just before I bought it.

never actually picked up the history folder... will contact the guy i got it off and see if he still has it... i got it with a nakered bottom end so changed it for a runner on 79k... will be having mot done after next weekend and will put 6months tax on it too...

Hummm not hugely interested if it's had an engine swap. No doubt you've done a good job but I'm after something with good original history as I'll be doing circa 15K a year so need something that's been well maintained.

just got my new KR in my mk2 at the weekend... planning on doin a 2L 16v on carbs at somepoint.... is the head any diff on the 2L to the 1.8L or just the cams? gota rebuilt head i was gonna get ported n pol'd for the conversion....

have a matt black 6n 1.4 petrol 60k wiv mk4 golf gti seats, otherwise standard and a mk2 jetta 1.3 in white. both will have 12 months mot and 6months tax by end of oct. would swap both 4 the rado if you intrested, in notts area
