First off mate - find out how much it is for when your 20 - chances are it will be a fair bit cheaper. So when it comes to paying for renewal, phone the company and point out your nearly 20 and expect to pay the premium for a 20 year old. They say no, you say you go elsewhere... simple. Also, try using comparison websites such as Go Compare, just to give you a rough idea. You then phone the companys which appear cheapest and negociate, saying stuff like "such and such is £50 cheaper etc etc - try not to lie though, make sure you genuinely do have a backup plan :D).

Try the specialist companies in the back of magazines, just have a look for young and convicted drivers or modified cars they are normally good a mate of mine was quoted £1300 for his Sharan by Budget, got it for £600 from brooker king. Its well worth shopping are mate

rang quinn n they said that if i wanted it lowered it would be an extra 70 a month or somthing daft i then said well i am 20 in 2 week and other insurance companies offered me cheaper and they magically pulled a £106 per month quote out of their arse which I'm kinda happy about woooo :)

Quinn dont charge me any extra for any of my mods unless it's on the engine....

quinn wanted £200 for lowering, but strangely they said it wouldn't be any more if i uprate the suspension, only if i lower it...
