Comments: I have owned my gti since November 2008 and have enjoyed every moment of ownership. I have only seen 1 other gti around these parts of Suffolk, the car turns heads wherever I go and people say nice car m8 never seen a polo gti before :)

Yeah thanks I was thinking about getting it lowered but it looks so good standard. I thought I would get much more feedback considering it is a mint standard GTI.

Looks nice yeah, Very fresh. Front disks look abit lipped though. Might be needing some new uns soon! lol

how you finding it any problems and is it worth going all out for the 1.6 gti?

more torque with the 1.6 i find..and pretty much same fuel economy!

Going for the standard look lol, definately worth saving up a bit more for the gti as it looks so much better than the standard mk5's. I am thinking of upgrading the speakers and the headunit as for the discs they look a bit lipped but they have a few hundred miles in them lol.

You want some slotted disks hiding behind them wheels

yeah I like the idea of grooved dics not to sure which brand to go for, also thinking of green stuff pads I wanted red stuff pads but they dont do them for the polo lol.

yeah i was sayin on another thread about considering red stuff pads but was told that it was a bad idea for the road as they have to be heated up and kept warm otherwise you'll end up causing an accident

Same with green stuff pads i think, best option is fast road pads :-D

Green stuff are fast road pads. There pretty good like.

I herd some people say they take ages to warm up. Mine are fine! Dont really notice a difference in normal driving. When you toe it down some back roads they get better as they heat up.

Unsure on colour coding my splitter, I have seen pics with colour coded splitters but I like the look of my car and don't want to get it painted then decide I don't like it lol so prob just going to keep it as it is :)

Nice to see another person keeping the OEM look of thier GTI :).Mine too was garaged from new,1 previous owner mileage is very very low though which made me want it even more.
