Insurance renewals +mods

Featured Replies

So I am coming to the end of my 1st year of motoring, 21, Chef, Bradford postcode, passplus 1month after my test, 1 accident not my fault, so 1yr ncb on it's way when I get decent quote I am looking to mod my car tastefully and visually only I have rung brentacre they said 1100 that as much as my first policy! Rang HIC nice bloke but could only do 1500, Adrian flux have yet to contact me back! But isn't this shit supposed to drop in price? I'm being penalised because of my postcode, my age, my job, mods and my cock!

I can see problems with the penalties! Sexism, postcode racism!

Any advice or suggestions greatly appreiciated!

So with mods and a bump it costs the same as it did the year before (i.e no mods and no bumps). sounds about right to me.

Bump wasn't my fault got rear ended no fault of mine at all, I don't see how that could (or should) effect it? Does it mean I'm more likely to have a crash? (I was stationary in traffic and I kept enough distance as I always do just incase it happened and it did! And because I work in an environment were alcohol can be obtained it goes up? Lol k have only ever had an alcoholic drink and driven the same day once! That was Xmas I had a shandy and then 4 hours later I drove to the gfs! It's just something I'd rather not risk, all the insurance companies say when I explain this is, "how do we know you are not lying?" Which I understand

tbh I think there just legalised thieves

just seems these days because the law say you have to have it! They can chage what they like for it!

Well, thats how it is - we all need it. So have to pay what the premiums are.....

you just have to man it out for the first two years like the rest of us.

Your time will come...

Eventully.

is a chef really a high risk job . I'm a chef and dont see how that could affect insurance.

yeah because you cook with alcohol and then the place also serves alcohol so there reasoning is you will have a few too many obligatory pints after work (as i sometimes do but i get the bus home when i do! and my boss takes my keys off me) and drive home

that why when they ask you occupation they ask liscenced or unliscenced premesis
