can anybody tell me if i need a 16v box to go on to my 1,4 16v?

will any of the other gearboxes from a polo fit on to it or will a gearbox of a differefnt car fit on to it?

if anybody gets back to me i will be very greatfull.

You really need a 16v box because the gear ratio is different.

is ther no other boxes of anythin else with a close ratio? need one asap and cant find a descent one anywhere near me

hi mate i bought a 1.4 16v polo with the gearbox broken so i got a 1.4 8v gearbox i had to swap the gear linkage around but appart from that it bolted straight in the gear ratios are different but u cant notice it

its never let me down since ...hope I've helped
