Near full bike carb setup

Featured Replies

For sale i have my bike carb setup i have been using on my 1272aav polo. I have used this for the last 6k miles and tuned it to my engine using a wideband sensor, so fuelling was spot on. Performance increased noticeably even with just the induction and exhaust modifications. I'm sure on a modified head with a harsher cam there would be even more power to be found, but most of all, they sounded great. Reason for sale is going back to standard spi setup prior to changing to a different engine.

The kit i have assembled consists of:

Custom inlet manifold (made by Julian from this forum) Port matched to the standard inlet gasket. Comes with custom bolts to clear sections of the inlet pipes. (very good fit)

Yamaha yzf600r carbs jetted to suit MY 1272 engine, mains can easily be drilled/changed to suit different capacity, and modified engines.

PiperX individual filter socks, very high quality and look nice too :)

Viper oil catch tank, anodized fittings, breather hose and mounting bracket supplied.

Facet solid state fuel pump, rated 2.5-3.5 psi, eliminating the need for a fuel pressure regulator.

Small inline fuel filter.

Length of fuel hose.

Brake servo hose modified to correct length from manifold to servo.

Full MK2 ignition system consisting of : Distributor

Coil

Loom

Ignition amplifier

Distributor cap + rotor arm

HT leads

Also a few hose clamps.

*As can be seen in the pictures the powdercoated finish has peeled off a bit due to the joining hose being on it and the heat around the area. It can very easily be nitromors'd back to the mild steel finish.

Items needed to complete the conversion are joining hose (or rubbers). Inlet manifold gasket. A throttle cable to be made up, and a choke cable. All relativly simple things for sombody undertaking this conversion.

Thats about it. I dont mind questions directly related to the parts i have for sale, but please dont fill my inbox with 'how to' questions as by now, I'm sure all of these points have been covered elsewhere on this forum.

All of these parts (exluding whats needed to complete the conversion) have set me back just over £300. I will ask £200 ovno due to the ease of conversion to the buyer. (its not an overnight thing collecting all the parts!)

I really dont want to split this conversion, so offers for the full setup only please. If it does not sell as a complete setup, I may break major parts of the set after a while.

Offers via PM, email : flipkickbs@hotmail.com , or call/text 07841677072.

Postage is fine at additional charge to the buyer.

Thanks, Ian.

Everything except carbs and catch tank provisionally sold.

Offers on catch tank and carbs still welcome.

Ian.

To brummyMk4, they most likely would, see if the inlet manifold gasket is the same as the mk3 1272's as all those heads are the same.

if the setup is for sale so i can fit the carbs and run them on my car i wil have them for the full £200 PM me
