Beginning to feel like all of my other cars!!

So far all i have done is blacked the rear badge and the handbrake handle/cover as previously it had a cream interior so i am slowly going to get the rest black...fitted those super bright lights and ordered some flat wiper blades...oh and that little bear!!

Plans are to get gti arches on there...replace vr6 splitter that broke off and tidy it up in general....wheels need a refurb and will get a badged front grill and maybe tint the windows lightly and tint the front indicators/lights etc.

Hope you like

Jay

Coilies february time :)

Coils and anything non lenso for rims and will look sweet lol

tidy car, but i think the next thing on my list would be to fix that rusty arch rather than just covering it up with a plastic trim

Sure you just didnt cover it up did you? I thought you meant to fixed it?

well if it has just been covered up, it'll be a right pita to fix when the inner wing detaches itself from the outer.

Lol...yeah i sanded the rusted area down and treated it before i put the trims on!!!!

think it was some hammerite stuff i got from halfrauds...

And yes i have 2 ideas for wheels next year....the lenso's will stay for the winter though, thanks for the comments

thats good, as they really are a pain to fix.

personally i dont find those lensos that offensive, kinda suite the chunky look of the car

If i get time i may spray the wheels satin black before the end of the year...hopefully a respray summertime next year so dents in arch will be sorted properly...like i said i just rubbed it down...got the crap off and then sprayed the area to prevent anymore coming through.

Well it's been a while so I figured i'd put up some progressive shots etc.

That was winter time, moving onto spring i got a VR6 splitter

On my way back from Springfest

Next up were some FK coilovers, unfortunately 3 were seized when i got them but this is how it sat for the time being

P100522_124005.jpg

Summer approached and i got some pressed plates and fitted a black carpet and trim panels to get rid of the nasty beige that was in there

P100704_182012.jpg

Next up i started to smooth a new front and rear bumper kindly given to me for free!

P100720_142333.jpg

Then it was time to roll the arches and get out a big hammer and get them coilies free!!

Sooooooo after getting a confirmation call at a monthly meet a few weeks ago that my bumpers had been second lacquered I eagerly headed over to the workshop to polish them up......

Rather happy with the result...and more so to be polishing something that goes on MY car!!!!

Bumper Chair???

Look a bus!!!!

And an Escort Van!!!

P100828_190453.jpg

Next up .....

I finished polishing my rear bumper....aside this I had to use glue, cable ties and a few self tappers to repair and then re-fit my VR6 splitter....it decided to pull itself off over a bump and I kinda drove over it...mehhhh :p

I'd just like to point out that all work is being done on mates driveways and in my other workmates garage that we do wheel refurbs in etc...this car has been such a learning curve in so many levels it's unreal yet at the same time doing all the prep and being able to polish aircraft VIP interior parts has definately helped!!!

Thanks for reading....Car should be painted by October with any luck!!

Bumpers look mint and it's looks great slammed :-)
