Hi guys well looks like i am getting round to this now i have some photos to post

i got the polo for £300 with some rattles and problems i have fixed them and have it running well at the moment

but the panels where in a bad way they had been badly sprayed with primer

here you can see it next to my brothers new car making me look bad:

Taken bump strips off did some spray work on the hud and give it a good clean:

A arty shot when i was running about out of town one day:

my friend smashed my windscreen by accident so got a new one fitted:

replaced the "OpenAir" stickers with animal one's as it spends a lot of time at the beach where i live and is a soft top lol

also new indicators £15 from ebay:

one re-primed bumper

well thats it for now i have finished spraying the bumper and will put it back on tomorrow so shall post a new pic

of it then and will keep posting as i work on the car =D

so far the cost is low

£300 for the car

£20 to fix running problems

£15 indicators

£ free alpine head uni thanks to a very nice friend

£ free speakers came from another car

£40 in paint

what colour silver did you buy m8, got a funny feeling my colour gonna be the same :)

cars looking good tho ... will look even better when them plans come into action.

not sure about wheels yet going to get rest done first and then going for black or white unless i like how they look standard after a good clean lol

and i think it was "silver satin" paint just used the paint codes to match it lol

prob is due to all the bad work done on it before the wings have random primer on them so having to rub all them back to paint

i am looking forward to seeing it all in one peace again tomorrow =D

happy with it still need some work on the wings but very happy with how far its come over the weekend

When i got home happy to see my new grill had came =D

i am going to spray the old one to match the car i think at some point and see how it looks but for now i like this

and think all the black grills look good together

nice car. think if you painted the grill thow there wood be to much silver. nead sum black to brake it up a bit

i want to put a black outline on the headlights so it matches the indicators just got to think of the best way to do this

or find some way to make the headlights look better for cheaper lol

just slam it and polish the rims and take of stickers, look pimp. f*k the lights

polished 16v wheels .... never seen them before lol .... you could be the first lol

Yeah id put the old indi's back on with chrome bulbs. The get some coilovers on the go..

Polished wheels sounds good aswell!

new indicators replaced the old ones as that broke so dont have the old ones anymore

i like them so there staying for now but shall see how i feel with time tbh i haven't

really picked a look for the car just adding bits as i go and seeing how i feel with it

Dont do that!! youll end up wasting money on some god awful additions lol have a look around and decide what you wanna do first then you can use your money better

yer would prob be a better way to do it lol but hasnt cost me a lot tbh and happy with it for now thinking about going for smoked lights so black and silver or something not sure at the mo and will prob be leaving it alone for winter just need to get a sub set up and thats it for now i think

was the wires for the fogs there or did you need to wire it all completly??

wires for the fogs where there which was strange due to there not being the right switch there

no new pics yet just a little update on the pricing

i had to get a new starter motor for it due to not starting on cold days and as of yesterday not starting at all

cost me £20 for the part from the breakers yard and £40+ vat to have it fitted

a little pissed about fitting cost but that was including looking for the problem to see if it wasn't just a cable or something before telling me so i could

go get the part as the guy wanted £117+vat to get one and fit it.

so happy its working now so its all good in the end

i worked out so far the car has cost me £498 so planning on a new silver bonnet as its cheaper and easier then spraying it my self

so that will put me just over the £500 mark and then i think i should be done as long as it keep running.

I think becoz the bodywork is pretty shabby on this 6n u should spray it matt or satan grey (like a gunmetal grey or a satan silver) I think it would look pimp. Then get it decked on summit like renualt turbines and then get orange front and side indies then get taillights with the orange and get some pressed plates etc.

Thats what i would do if it was mine anyway.

thanks tbh i am not doing lots and lots to it i am trying to get the car looking ok/good and running well (which at the mo it is) so once i have it looking right i will be leaving it as its just a first car and i am planning a gti some point next year so this is just something to run around in

not to mean i dont love it but then i guess most people love there first car

Spray wheels black and tint your headlights to match the indies abit better, although i personally dont like them, it will match more. Not sure if you can tint the Mk4 headlights the same as a Mk3? and it'll look mucho better IMO, but do it for yourself man, not for anyone else lol

will do some proper ones soon when i have finished the tinting and when i have given it a clean
